Pharmacy services aim to improve resident satisfaction, ease staff burden and ensure accurate medication management in small residential assisted living homes, with initial rollout in the Phoenix area
PHOENIX, Ariz. (Aug. 10, 2021) — Majestic Residences and Genoa Healthcare announced this week the roll out of their new pharmacy services relationship to serve Majestic’s growing number of assisted living communities, with the goal of improving resident and staff satisfaction, increasing medication accuracy and simplifying care management.
“Bringing this dedicated, specialized pharmacy service to our residential care homes is another way we can offer the same services as larger assisted living facilities in our smaller home setting,” said Chuck Bongiovanni, chief executive officer of Majestic Residences. “Our goal is to solidify the residential care home model as an option on the senior care continuum. Adding these services through Genoa will help us do that.”
The rollout will start in the Phoenix area and expand nationwide as Majestic opens new communities. Each Majestic location in Arizona will have a dedicated Genoa account manager who will act as a liaison to a nearby Genoa pharmacy. The account manager and consultant pharmacist will provide pharmacy support for medication delivery and management, help ensure regulatory compliance and medication management trainings, tailored to the needs of each home’s staff and residents.
